My name is Francesc Llobet and one of my main passions is learning about, and participating in, innovative entrepreneurial projects in this exciting global knowledge economy that we are living, in which new ways of doing things are appearing every single day all around the world.
I try to develop this passion in five different ambits of my professional activity, which I find pretty complementary:
1. Supporting and participating myself in startups that I consider innovative (Sappiens.com, Adverstore.com).
2. Helping entrepreneurs and companies to startup and develop their innovative projects, through personalized consulting services (francescllobet [i-consultants]) on online business and online marketing or through the articles and thougths I write in my blogs (InnovationThink, EmarketingThink.
3. Helping Public administrations to define and develop policies that enhance startup of innovative entrepreneurial ventures, the only way for countries and regions to compete in the global knowledge economy.
4. Spreading these concepts through University collaborations, both on-line and off-line.
5. And last, but most important, learning a lot from other people around the world, reading what they write and talking to them.
I have other passions too, for instance that my country, Catalonia, can develop a role in this global economy or that innovation and new ways of doing things get also to social and political structures. That's why i founded a few years ago the Foundation "Catalunya Empresa Oberta" (Catalonia Open Entreprise). One of our main goals in this project is creating a global network of catalan entrepreneurs and managers that live around the world. We have groups at this moment in Barcelona, London, Paris, NewYork, Hong Kong, Berlin and Brussels.
I leave in Barcelona, great place to stay, but I also travel quite a lot to these different mentioned locations.
As innovation has to do with constantly seeking new ways of doing things, what I write is what I thing at the moment of writing it and the opinion may change radically overtime if I discover or learn a better way to do it. Learning and unlearning is a constant in our time.
